By using the command placed on the central transmission tunnel, one can select one of the three available “moods” – Auto, Sport, All-Weather – that optimize the driving dynamic by adapting the vehicle’s behaviour.

On board, you have steering wheel paddle controls, HandsFree Bluetooth® and Bluetooth Audio streaming along with eco:Drive™ function, as well as the Uconnect™ infotainment system.
With Uconnect™, via its 5″ or 6.5″touchscreen, you can manage all the multimedia devices present in the car: the analogue and digital radio (DAB) and the main supports (mediaplayer, iPod, iPhone, smartphone) connected via the USB port and Aux-in jack.
The Uconnect Radio Nav 5″ device offers TomTom 2.5D navigation while the 6.5″ Uconnect Radio Nav features satellite navigation with 3D maps, progressive route guidance and ‘One Shot Voice Destination Entry’ to enter addresses with voice commands.
The new Uconnect™ LIVE system also allows customers – through integration with their smartphones – to use many apps on the on-board system so that they can always be in contact with their friends on Twitter; listen to 35 million music tracks on Deezer and over 100 thousand radio stations with Tune-In; get real-time news updates from Reuters and on the traffic, speed cameras and weather thanks to TomTom LIVE services.
And that is not all: you can improve your driving style with eco:Drive™, so you save on fuel and can check in real time your car’s CO2 emissions.
And you can keep in step with your car with my:Car: reminds you where you’ve parked, informs you on fuel levels and any vehicle anomalies.

The sensitivity of a radar
The system warns you with its radar and video sensors if it detects an excessive speed difference between your 500X and the vehicle in front, and warns you in time to avoid any chance of a collision. If, for some reason, you don’t take action the system automatically activates the braking system.

For total visibility
“Blind spots” are no longer a problem, because the system checks the presence of vehicles in the most critical areas and warns you with a blinking light on the outer rear view mirrors. The same thing happens when reversing, if a car approaches from the side.

To keep to the right lane
The system comes into action if you start changing lanes inadvertently (without using your indicators). The visual indication on the instrument panel is accompanied by greater resistance of the steering to the change in direction.
